About the Caracol Peninsula
The Caracol Peninsula neighborhood is located in San Carlos Nuevo Guaymas in the northern state of Sonora, Mexico. The town of San Carlos is a coastal community near the city of Guaymas. San Carlos lies on the Gulf of California also known as the Sea of Cortez. The Caracol Peninsula neighborhood is built on a hill overlooking the San Carlos Marina, Bahia San Carlos, the Gulf of California, the incredible, rugged mountains and San Carlos’s own focal point, Tetakawi. Cobblestone roads and the palm tree lined Cotton Cove Beach add to the beauty offering a unique place to reside. This residential neighborhood is made up of 400 lots with over 200 homes, each with its own character and splendid view.
Our community is located at the end of Gabriel Estrada Blvd. off of the main street in town, Tetakawi Blvd. This location makes Caracol Peninsula very near to the largest marina in town as well as shops, grocery stores, hotels and restaurants.

What do Annual Maintenance Fee Provide?
Association Annual Maintenance Fees/Dues/Donations fees provide services to all residents. These include:
- A bilingual, administrative team to manage day-to-day association business. While not part of the Association Board, this team provides information, addresses neighborhood maintenance and emergencies quickly and provides consistent management
- 24 hour security and surveillance at the gate
- Road and gate repair and maintenance
- Street light maintenance
- Coordination with CFE for electrical problems affecting the entire community
- Coordination with CEA for water emergencies and repairs
- An elected Board to carry out actions to improve the neighborhood
- Monitoring of bank accounts and annual budget for the association
- Cotton Cove Beach monitoring
- Creation of “social events” to provide a sense of community
- Maintenance of an association website to provide communication and information
- Compliance with all legal and banking association requirements
- Resident Car Tag renewal system
- Common area flora and structure maintenance
- Communication with comisario (police) and emergency services of problems in the community
- Maintenance of a relationship with Control Urbano as it relates to new construction and/or remodeling of all homes
- Maintenance of a relationship with local and state government as it relates to the Caracol Peninsula
Joining the Association
Becoming an association member is easy. Simply contact information@caracolpeninsula.com for details on paperwork and payment of Maintenance Fees. Members who are up-to-date in their obligations to the association are considered in good standing and are authorized to vote at the Annual General Assembly per the charter granted by the state of Sonora.

Car Tags
Resident Car Tags are provided annually with each paid association membership. 2 Resident tags are included with each paid membership. Non-Member residents may purchase car tags at a cost.
Security Team
Caracol security is provided by PSPP. This team provides 2 guards, 24/7. They are reachable through phone for quick response and email for pre-planned arrival of guests and service to residents homes.
